Indie Connect is looking for an intern with a variety of web design skills.
Who We Are
Indie Connect is a membership organization that provides networking and educational opportunities singers, musicians, songwriters, record labels, managers and all other sectors of the independent music industry. We are like a Chamber of Commerce for the Indie Music Industry. Our members are widely diverse, being of all ages and from all music genres. They range from former major label stars and hit songwriters to people just aspiring to be in the music industry. We work daily with super creative artists as well as the highly structured support businesses that make creative careers happen.
We have multiple meetings per week occurring in Nashville and have sprouted outlying chapters in New York City and Birmingham, AL. We have been in business for 3 years.
What We Need
We need an intelligent, creative, but professional person to help us with our 4 websites (WordPress & Ning) and Constant Contact newsletter.
- Maintain and work on indieconnect.com, indieconnect.org, indieconnect.biz and indieconnectmagazine.com
- Suggest and implement changes to improve our sites and develop interaction with our membership. Research appropriate apps and plugins.
- Writing copy for newsletter, magazine and/or website (optional)
- Advertising sales (optional)
- General computer work
Skills required
- Sunny personality
- Computer skills. Must know HTML, WordPress
- Must have a laptop of their own.
- Sense of humor appreciated.
